Capital Bank Limited is a subsidiary of First Merchant Bank Limited (FMB), Malawi. FMB has been operating in Malawi since 1995 and it was the first private sector bank to be granted a commercial banking license in Malawi.
FMB has shown remarkable growth over years and in the year 2002, FMB acquired a 100% shareholding in one of the largest leasing companies in Malawi, Leasing and Finance Company of Malawi Limited.
